How to make a Spring room mist with essential oils

Updated: Jan 28

I just got a new puppy and my house isn't exactly smelling so fresh so I was motivated this week to make a fresh, uplifting room mist for Spring. To be honest, we've all been cooped up for so long I think that puppy or not we could do with a little refresh around home. Here's how to make a Spring room spray that you can spritz around your home to make it super fresh and positive.

This room spray recipe uses fresh, citrus essential oils to brighten up your home. This Spring essential oil blend we will use combines Grapefruit, Lavender and Orange selected to soothe, freshen, calm and de-stress.

You will only need a few simple and natural ingredients.

Ingredients/shopping list:

50ml distilled water or witch hazel

8 drops of Grapefruit essential oil

6 drops of Orange essential oil

4 drops of Lavender essential oil

Small spray/atomiser container

How to make your Spring room mist

Step 1

Add your essential oils into a small spray container

Step 2

Top up with distilled water or witch hazel and secure the liquid by putting on the lid.

Step 3

Blend together all the ingredients in the container by shaking it really well.

Step 4

Spritz your room. Room mists work well when spritzed onto fabrics. Test a small amount of your spray on a discreet part of the fabric before you go wild.

I hope you enjoy making this, let me know how you get on.

Stay positive,
